Physical Rehabilitation at PHW

If you have had experiences with common physical therapy we can promise you that the UNcommon approach at PHW will be a different and better experience for you.

The common physical therapy appointment is dictated by insurance companies reimbursement which has resulted in providers being required to see 3-4 patients at the same time. This system has resulted in the common clinic relying of high volume appointments. Meaning you are asked to come in 3 times a week for multiple weeks. You see the Physical Therapist for 15 minutes and spend the rest of the appointment doing exercises that you could be doing at home.

That is NOT how our UNcommon approach works. We value your time by only working one-on-one with our clients meaning you get the full attention of the Physical Therapist every appointment. We also reserve your appointments for the important things that only the Physical Therapist can do such as advanced manual therapy techniques, movement analysis, patient education, and neuromuscular re-education. If exercise is needed we teach you how to do it and let you do it on your time.

Our UNcommon approach allows for less frequent appointments, fewer total appointments, and increased independence in your ability to manage your own health.

Who is the UNcommon approach at PHW for?

  • Individuals dealing with chronic pain and injury that have tried "everything else".

  • People dealing with "annoying" pain and discomfort affecting their daily life that want to get back to life without discomfort.

  • Those recovering from surgery that want full return to their prior function.

  • Active individuals that want to continue their active lifestyle at the highest level possible.

  • People wanting to improve their health and wellness under the guidance of movement and activity specialists

  • Middle aged individuals that are looking to maintain their activity and fitness levels as they age.
